Brent Re-ward Club Launch Event
Residents of Brent are invited to attend the Official Launch of the Re-ward Club on Sunday 3 June. You, are encouraged to sign up to this new loyalty club, that rewards members when they buy pre-loved goods, hire items, get things repaired or buy stuff made from recycled material.
Shoppers who sign up to The Re-ward Club will receive a token for every £10 they spend in supporting outlets, which can be saved up and converted into vouchers. Brent Council is supporting the ‘Re-ward Club’ scheme run by the West London Waste Authority. You can sign up at the launch at the Brent Celebrates the Jubilee event outside Wembley Arena on Sunday 3rd June. Members will receive a token for every £10 spent, with the first one given for a minimum spend of £4.50. Tokens can then be redeemed for vouchers to spend in participating outlets or donate to a local Community Group.
There are currently 14 different organisations signed up to the Re-ward Club, five of these are based in Brent. They are: Roses & String, Atlantic Electronics, Furnish, Rainbow Computers, UCS UK Cooling, Blue Gnome Computers, Giant Twickenham, Hounslow Furniture Recycling Project, Lovers Lights Gallery, M & S Hire Power LTD, Memphis Music, Princess Alice Hospice, Richmond Furniture Scheme and The William Wilberforce Trust. It is hoped the scheme will grow and the Council is appealing for businesses which fulfil the criteria to sign up to the project which aspires to encourage more people to think about cutting down on waste
